SCHOOL STREET <br /> 7sept.embe'r7, 1987 Removal of five underground storage tanks. <br /> Noticeable odor in leaded gasoline tank pit. <br /> October 8, 1987 Contaminated soil substantiated by lab <br /> analysis results. <br /> October 13, 1987 Harlin Knoll, REHS, witnessed re-excavation of <br /> leaded gasoline tank pit to 26 feet in depth. <br /> Groundwater less than 50 feet. <br /> October 20, 1987 RP (Mark Newfield) stated in a telephone <br /> conversation that soil results were not good. <br /> San Joaquin Local Health District (now <br /> PHS/EHD) requested that results be submitted <br /> along with a proposal for a groundwater <br /> investigation. Proposal not submitted. <br /> October 27, 1987 RP proposed re-excavation to 30 feet. He <br /> stated he would not install monitoring wells. <br /> October 28, 1987 RP informed he could re-excavate but a <br /> groundwater investigation was still needed. <br /> RP (Mark Newfield) stated he would do nothing <br /> further to investigate the extent of <br /> contamination. <br /> November 17, 1987 RWQCB agreed monitoring wells necessary. <br /> December 28, 1987 Unauthorized release form submitted. <br /> March 21, 1989 Change in RP. Notified by Mark Newfield that <br /> the new RP is Richard Novone. <br /> March 21, 1989 "Clean soil" delivered at some time prior to <br /> this date to fill the pit. Compaction permit <br /> was not issued by the City of Lodi. <br /> September 13 , 1989 Soil Investigation Proposal submitted by <br /> Warren Games of Warren E. Gomes Excavating, <br /> Inc. <br /> September 22, 1989 Acknowledgment Letter was mailed to owner of <br /> record (Joseph Newfield) prior to initiating <br /> review or entering into Pilot Program. <br /> October 5, 1989 Property manager, Joseph Mark Newfield, <br /> returned the Letter of Acknowledgment to <br /> PHS/EHD. <br /> s ^1 <br />
