(AGE)were conditionally approved for
implementation. The conditions on the approval were specifically outlined in the
correspondence. You were directed to submit a San Joaquin County well destruction
permit application, required $60.00 permit fee and $285.00 permit inspection fee for
each parcel of land on which wells will be destroyed, and with scheduling the approved
work. To date, no permits or fees have been received by SJC/EHD. In a phone
conversation with your consultant on March 15, 2007 SJC/EHD was told by AGE that
they did not know when the work would be completed.
Please proceed with immediate submittal of the required permits and fees, and with
scheduling the approved work. The deadline for all monitoring and remediation wells
associated with this site to be fully destroyed is September 28, 2007. Failure to meet
this deadline will place you out of compliance with the San Joaquin County Well
Standards, which requires the proper destruction of out of service wells. If the wells are
not properly destroyed by this date you will be required to resume quarterly groundwater
monitoring and sampling of the wells.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS MargLagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Program Coordinator, Unit IV
cc: James Barton, CVRWQCB
William Little, AGE
