1
a5
13 May 2004
AGE-NC Project No 97-0290
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE finds
• Concentrations of TPH-g and benzene In well MW-2 have exhibited increasing trends over
the past two years, as depicted in Appendix E
• The overall influent hydrocarbon vapor concentrations decreased during the fourth quarter,
an estimated 528 lbs gasoline (TPH-g) were removed from the subsurface of the site
• Continued operation of the 1AS with SVE should result in a reduction of the hydrocarbon
impact to soil and ground water
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends
• Due to the elevated dissolved concentrations in well MW-2 and the continual significant
. vapor concentrations, AGE recommends operation and monitoring of the IAS and SVE
operation for one additional quarter However, the general decline in influent vapor
concentrations does indicate a reduced efficiency and should concentrations indicate
diminishing effectiveness of the SVE operation and ground water concentrations decline
accordingly over the following ground water monitoring event, AGE then recommends
preparation of a closure report for the site
• Performance of ground water monitoring, the next monitoring event should be scheduled for
sewn uarter of 2004
6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the subsurface conditions at
the site for the purpose of this investigation was made from review of a limited number of available
data points (soil vapor and ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report
w
Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,Inc
