Boring locations
are shown on attached Figures A and B.
One boring (South-13) will be located on the Tracy Rail Yard property at the designated address
of 11 West 6th Street, Tracy, California. This boring will be advanced to a depth of 25 feet below
ground surface (bgs) for the collection of soil and groundwater samples.
Two borings will be located on the City of Tracy right-of-way: one on the north side of First
Street at the intersection of C Street (South-12), and one on the west side of Polk Street near
the intersection of Wagtail Drive (East-5). These borings will be advanced to a depth of 25 feet
bgs for the collection of soil and groundwater samples.
All borings will be advanced using a Geoprobe direct push rig operated by PeneCore Drilling.
The borings will be destroyed using Portland Type 1/II neat cement grout, placed from total
depth to 3 feet bgs using a tremie pipe. Surface completion at South-13 will be hydrated
bentonite granules from 3 feet bgs to ground surface. Surface completion at South-12 and East-
5 will be concrete, graded and colored to match ground surface conditions. All soil cuttings and
wash water will be properly stored on the Rail Yard in 55-gallon drums to be removed by
Chevron.
This work is a continuation of work conducted on the Rail Yard, Off-Site East Area, and Off-Site
South Area in October of last year. The original work plans were submitted to Mike Infurna on
September 9, 2011. Addendums to those work plans are included in this application submittal.
The MFRS from the previous work remain relevant to this work so no new MFRS will be
submitted.
Application payment will arrive to you by Friday, June 8. Please let me know if you have not
received it by June 12, 2012.
AMEC Environment&Infrastructure,Inc.
2101 Webster Street, 12th Floor
Oakland,California 94612-3066
USA
Tel (510)663-4100
Fax (510)663-4141
amec.com
