During a January 2011 <br /> telephone conversation; Central Valley Water Board staff clarified that in the event <br /> impacted soil is encountered in samples from the offset borings, laboratory analysis <br /> should be completed. <br /> • The lateral and vertical extent of affected groundwater has not been defined in the <br /> vicinity of TRY-29 and additional characterization is needed. <br /> Based on the information outlined above, AMEC proposes to.- <br /> • Drill three additional borings in the vicinity of TRY-1 and collect groundwater samples <br /> for lateral and vertical delineation purposes. <br /> • Drill four additional borings in the vicinity of TRY-29 for collection and analysis of <br /> groundwater samples. <br /> • Follow the same field investigation and sampling protocol outlined in the July 2010 Soil <br /> and Groundwater investigation report. <br /> Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with the additional soil and groundwater investigation <br /> outlined in the Workplan and described above. <br /> By 1 September 2011, please submit a final soil and groundwater investigation report. <br /> If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dean Hubbard at (559) 445-5179. <br /> c i <br /> SHELTON R.
