INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Edward Barkett and Mr Joseph Newfield,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br />' (AGE) has prepared this Preliminary Site Assessment Report for the property located at 107 North <br /> School Street, Lodi, California <br />' Three soil probe bonngs were advanced at the site in October 1998 Five ground water monitoring <br /> wells were installed at and near the site in November and December 1998 Two monitoring wells <br />' and four soil borings were advanced near the site in January 1999 Ground water monitoring was <br /> performed on 04 December 1998 and 26 January 1999 The site and the surrounding area are <br /> illustrated in Figure I-Location Map Structures, well and boring locations are illustrated on Figure <br />' 2 -Site Plan A receptor well survey was also performed for the site <br /> All field work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br />' Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigations of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> I• <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br />' The site is located in a commercial area of central Lodi, San Joaquin County, California, at the <br /> northwest corner of the intersection of North School Street and West Elm Street The site is located <br />' in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation of approximately 48 feet above mean sea level <br /> (Lodi North Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1976) <br />' 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br />' One structure is located on the property and is presently operated part-time as a school AGE has <br /> been informed that the property was formerly occupied by a gasoline service station, the gasoline <br /> service station operated from approximately 1922 until approximately 1979 <br /> 22 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING <br />' The site is located within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of California, which is a large, <br />' elongate, northwest trending structural trough The Great Valley Province has been filled to its <br /> present elevation with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to present day, <br /> . creating a nearly flat lying alluvial plain extending from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to <br />' Adranced GeoEmiron mental,Inc <br /> I <br />
