1 '
i
' The soil samples will be sent to Canonie Environmental
laboratory in Stockton, CA for analysis. The soil samples will
be tested for total volatile petroleum hydrocarbons (T.V.P.H. )
and benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylene (B.T.E.X. ) . The
' detection limits for these constituents are 1.0 mg/kg and 0 .025 40
' mg/kg, respectively. Total lead will also be tested for in both 0/
samples using E.P.A. Method 6010 .
The borings will be placed in clean back-fill material and
we anticipate the majority of the soil cuttings will be clean. o
To insure site safety, however, all cuttings will be either
U
stored in 55 gallon plastic barrels or placed under the Visqueen
' with the other soil . The barrels will be stored on site until
test results are obtained.
A Health and Safety Plan will be completed and present on
site during all activities . All personnel will be required to
' read and sign this document. A copy of the Plan is included in
this submittal.
1
A report describing the results of this study will be
prepared for submission to San Joaquin County Department of
' Environmental Health. The report will include a geological log ^ ,
of the soil boring, a written discussion of the geology, and a
' chronology of activities conducted on site by Condor. Also e
included will be the results of the analytical analysis. The
Page - 3 -
' CONDOR
