Q
Limited Phase 11 Subsurface Investigation Report
902-908 East Scotts Avenue
Stockton,California a ntea g ro u p
Antea Group Project No. UPR82572A
In summary, this limited soil investigation identified areas of environmental concern as well as the widespread
presence of metals, petroleum, and PAHs in shallow soils. Deeper soil testing has indicated the concerns (i.e., RSL
and SSL exceedances)appear to be limited to the upper few feet of soils, but additional testing would be necessary
to evaluate the degree and lateral extent of contaminants at the areas where higher levels of contaminants were
identified.
Based on the proposed site re-development into a railroad, Antea Group recommends further soil testing during
redevelopment activities in accordance with a Soil Management Plan, which should be completed prior to
initiating demolition or construction. The Soil Management Plan should include detailed procedures for the
identification of contamination, testing, storage, and removal/disposal of contaminated soils, and the use of
personal protective equipment. Special attention should be paid to soil conditions in the vicinity of certain
features of environmental concern,such as the pad-mounted transformer,floor drains,and oil/water separators.
11 www.anteagroup.com
