Chronology
433 Scotts Avenue
Stockton, CA
03/13/02 Two 350 gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed under
the.Environmental Health Department (EHD) permit and inspection on this date.
Soil samples were collected beneath the USTs and the analytical results of those
samples evidenced contamination. Staining and odor was noted by EHD staff.'
04/10/02 An Unauthorized Release Report and a Notification of Hazardous Waste
Discharge were filed on this date.
04/18/02 The site was placed in the Local Oversight Program on this date.
10/15/02 . Geoprobes 61 through B3 were advanced on this date.
12/30/02 Date of Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report that discusses the
October 2002 work. Soil and groundwater contamination was found with the
highest concentrations in soil at 15 feet below grade.
10/9-16/03 Monitoring wells MW1 through MW3 (screened 15 to 35 feet) were installed and
soil boring B4 was completed to 57 feet during this time.
04/01/04 Date of Quarterly Report—Fourth Quarter 2003 that discusses the October 2003
work. All soil samples collected were beneath groundwater and the analytical
results for contaminants were low to non-detect. A groundwater sample was
collected from B4 at 53 feet which had significant contaminant concentrations.
12/01/04 Date of Sensitive Receptor Survey in which no drinking water wells were
reportedly found within 2000 radial feet of the site.
03/09/05 The EHD received data from borings placed on property north of this site in June
2004 for an environmental assessment at that site. No contamination was found
in the borings placed to the north of the former location of the USTs at this site.
7/19-25/05 Monitoring wells MW4 and MW5 (screened 15 to 35 feet)were installed, cone
pentrometer test point CPT 1 and geoprobe borings B5 and B6 were completed
during this time.
11/01/05 Date of Additional Site Assessment Repoq that discusses the July.2005 work.
Water samples were collected from CPT 1 (placed near 134) at 54, 72 and 100
feet;below grade and were non-detect for contaminants.
06/07/07 Public notices were posted on this date as required by the UST regulations as
part,of the Public Participation requirements for the proposed excavation of
contaminated soil at the site.
07/9-10/07 Excavation of contaminated soil from the former UST area was performed during
this time. The excavation was about 20 feet by 30 feet and 25 feet deep.
