I
' 01 November 2005
AGE-NC Project No 02-0950
52 feet bsg, as well From 67 feet bsg to 76 feet bsg, silty sand and sand, underlain by silt,
' was Identified In boring CPT-1, with silty clay, clay, and stiff, fine-grained material
encountered from 76 feet to the total depth of boring CPT-1 at 97 feet bsg
' • Based on the soil boring and CPT results and comparison with soil descriptions from borings
previously advanced on the site, AGE developed a preliminary subsurface model of the site
soil stratigraphy comprised of six Informal zones - a vadose (unsaturated) zone and five
' hydrogeologic units
• A total of sixteen soil samples were collected from borings B5, B6, MW-4, and MW-5 and
' analyzed for the constituents listed in Section 2 12 No petroleum hydrocarbon constituents
were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits In the soil samples analyzed
' • A total of five grab ground water samples were collected from borings B5, B6, and CPT-1
and submitted for laboratory analysis for the constituents listed in Section 2 1 2 TPH-d was
detected in sample B5-W, collected between 20 feet and 30 feet bsg, at a concentration of
' 19,000 µg/1
' . 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends
' continued quarterly ground water monitoring The third quarter ground water monitoring event was
performed on 12 September 2005, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 were monitored and
' sampled
I6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
' environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon field
measurements and analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a
' limited number of available data points (i e , soil and ground water samples), and subsurface
conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made
as to the professional interpretations, opinions, and recommendations contained in this report
I
I
•
' Advanced GeoEnvironmenta[,Inc
I
