I
IQuarterly Report - Second Quarter 2004
• PREM DOR
' 433 West Scotts Avenue, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Dr Olbrantz of Masonite International,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)
has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 433 West Scotts Avenue, Stockton,
California(site) The site and the surrounding area are Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures and boring
and well locations are Illustrated on Figure 2 Additional site background Information is summarized
in Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES
On 20 April 2004, ground water monitoring was performed on monitoring wells MW-1 through
MW-3 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD) for the sampling of ground water monitoring wells and
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigation of
underground storage tank (UST) sites
' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
' The depth to ground water in each monitoring well was measured from the top of the well casing to
the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevation in each well was
calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation
I (Table 3)
After water levels were measured, approximately 8 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water
volumes per well) were purged from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 using a dedicated
Waterra hose bailer MW-1 drew down slightly during purging but pumping rate was slowed and
three volumes were able to be removed Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were
measured at regular intervals dunng purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data
are included in Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon
Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved drums
I2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Water samples were collected from each purged well using a dedicated inertia pump hose after
allowing the wells to achieve a minimum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water
. sample was transferred into laboratory-supplied 40-milliliter(ml) volatile organic analysis (VOA)
vials containing 0 5 ml of hydrochloric acid as preservative,one-liter amber glass containers without
IAdvanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
