Malos : <br /> This letter is to advise you that our office represents the <br /> interest of Albert and Robbie Clark, dba Valley Welding Supply, <br /> who own the business located at 1033 East Scotts Avenue, <br /> Stockton, California 95205. <br /> Our office has been provided a copy of a letter from you dated <br /> January 14, 1991, as well as a copy of a letter from the Public <br /> Health Services of San Joaquin County. I have reviewed those <br /> letters and attachments, and for some mistaken reason, they list <br /> my clients as the responsible party for the cost of substance <br /> cleanup pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 25360 . <br /> For your information, my clients purchased the property in late <br /> 1984 or early 1985 from Mr. Lannie R. Williams . If there were <br /> toxic problems with the property, those problems were in <br /> existence at the time the Clarks purchased the property from Mr. <br /> and Mrs . Williams. After the Clarks purchased the property, they <br /> did not produce, generate, store, or dump any hazardous waste or <br /> materials on their property. In fact, the Clarks were not aware <br /> of any toxic or hazardous problems on their property. <br /> In addition to the above, The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe <br /> Railway Company filed condemnation proceedings against the Clarks <br /> in reference to the property where there was alleged toxic or <br />
