Survey for arci Identification of Utilities <br /> Prior to beginning work on site or in or aru n d facilities, or buildings or other <br /> strictures which could be served by or connected to utilities, a search mist be <br /> conducted by the SHSC, ideally in association with someone familiar wittb the facility <br /> to identify any overhead, undergxxxuxi arra in-workplace utilities such as: <br /> o electrical lines and appliances, <br /> o gas lines, <br /> o pipelines, <br /> o steam lines, <br /> o water lines, <br /> o sewer lines, and <br /> o pressured air lines. <br /> The location of any utility which could pose a risk to workers must be communicated <br /> to all workers during site safety indoctrination. Utilites should be marked or <br /> access otherwise restricted to avoid chance of accidental contact. <br /> Utilities shall be considered "live" or active until a reliable source has documented <br /> then to be otherwise. <br /> A.
