SESOIL Output
The SESOIL model was run for 99 years (the maximum duration allowed by the model) for
tetradecane. SESOIL provides a detailed output for every month and a summary for each
year of the simulation The model estimates the partitioning of the chemical in each layer
between the soil-gas, soil-moisture, adsorbed fraction on soil particles, and a pure phase if
leachate loading exceeds the aqueous solubility of the chemical The model provides
information on the mass of chemical in each layer as well as the total mass of chemical that
exits the soil column and is predicted to enter the groundwater A printout of input files
and key output years from the SESOIL model are presented in APPENDIX B
Tetradecane, representing petroleum hydrocarbons at the site, was conservatively predicted
to migrate through the soil column less than one foot to an actual depth of less than 41 feet
bgs Therefore, the model predicts that the petroleum hydrocarbons will not reach
groundwater, currently at 55 feet bgs
4.5 Exposure Assessment Summary
Each of the three potential exposure pathways, direct contact, vapor inhalation, and ingested
groundwater, has been shown to be incomplete, therefore, there is no site-related exposure
to petroleum hydrocarbons
G U=1TSNrrAFE FNL\k"as 2693 4-15 ch=Ri.P 1%3
