ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRMLEGE
4.0 ADDITIONAL DATA
According to Appendix B of "The Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for
Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Storage Tank Sites", prepared by
the staff of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, specific information
should be included in all requests for closure As the original closure document was
prepared prior to the finalization of the March 1, 1994 recommendations, several items were
not discussed in the above discussion and are provided here to further clarify the site
conditions
The nearest water wells used for domestic and/or municipal purposes include those operated
by California Water Service (CWS) CWS operates seven wells located within an
approximately 2,000 foot radius of the Site, all seven wells are located greater than 1,800
feet to the north, east and south of the Site According to Mr Elmer Fowler, Production
Superintendent with the California Water Service, static well depths range from 69-78 feet
for the seven wells as of September 1994 levels
As reported by ERM-West, groundwater (in the early 1990s) was located approximately 55
feet below ground surface (bgs) The direction of groundwater flow was in a general
southward direction. Prior to a heavy rain season (early 1990s), the direction of
groundwater flow was in a general northward direction with a gradient of 0 003 Surficial
water flows intermittently in the area and is limited to the Mormon Slough The Mormon
Slough flows in a general east to west direction nearly 114 mile south of the site and flows
into the Stockton Deep Water Channel approximately one mile northwest of the site
A site location map is provided showing elevation contours, nearby surface waters, streets
and local topographic features (Figure 4-1) Additionally, a site utility survey was conducted
in preparation of a March 1991 investigation by ERM-West Seven local utility companies
inspected the site (MCI. City of Stockton, Pacific Gas & Electric, Pacific Telephone, US
Sprint, Continental Cable, and California Water Service) None of the companies reported
underground utility lines at the Site
}
