Well SFW-1, SFW-2, and SFW-3 were purged and sampled on March 5, 1993
Table 1 summarizes groundwater elevations measured prior to well purging
and sampling The groundwater elevations have not changed much from
previous sampling events The groundwater flow direction has changed
from north to south-southwest (Figure 1) The change in groundwater flow
direction may be due to the above average rainfall we have had this year
which may have altered groundwater pumping patterns in the area
Table 1
March 1993 Groundwater Elevations
Well # Casing Elevation GW Elevation
SFW-1 +23 89 ft -36 96 ft
SFW-2 +20 70 ft -37 59 ft
SFW-3 +18 13 ft -37 61 ft
Teflon bailers were used to purge the wells prior to sampling The bailers
were decontaminated prior to purging each well by washing with an Alconox
solution and triple rinsing with deionized water Each monitoring well was
developed by bailing until three consecutive conductivity, pH, and
temperature measurements varied by less than 10% Table 2 summarizes the
. number of well volumes removed from each well prior to sampling, and the
stable pH, temperature, and conductivity measurements
A MEMBER OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RE50URCES MANAGEMENT GRO
