Well SFW-1, SFW-2, and SFW-3 were purged and sampled on March 5, 1993 <br /> Table 1 summarizes groundwater elevations measured prior to well purging <br /> and sampling The groundwater elevations have not changed much from <br /> previous sampling events The groundwater flow direction has changed <br /> from north to south-southwest (Figure 1) The change in groundwater flow <br /> direction may be due to the above average rainfall we have had this year <br /> which may have altered groundwater pumping patterns in the area <br /> Table 1 <br /> March 1993 Groundwater Elevations <br /> Well # Casing Elevation GW Elevation <br /> SFW-1 +23 89 ft -36 96 ft <br /> SFW-2 +20 70 ft -37 59 ft <br /> SFW-3 +18 13 ft -37 61 ft <br /> Teflon bailers were used to purge the wells prior to sampling The bailers <br /> were decontaminated prior to purging each well by washing with an Alconox <br /> solution and triple rinsing with deionized water Each monitoring well was <br /> developed by bailing until three consecutive conductivity, pH, and <br /> temperature measurements varied by less than 10% Table 2 summarizes the <br />. number of well volumes removed from each well prior to sampling, and the <br /> stable pH, temperature, and conductivity measurements <br /> A MEMBER OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RE50URCES MANAGEMENT GRO <br />
