Zeroing is accomplished by means of a hand-inflatable"zero air' pouch included <br /> with the model pDR-1000AN,and by an inlet filter cartridge provided with the <br /> model pDR-1200. In addition,the instrument automatically checks agreement with <br /> its original factory calibration by checking its optical background during the <br /> zeroing sequence. <br /> The personalDataRAM covers a wide measurement range: from 0.001 mg/m3 <br /> (1 µg/m3) to 400 mg/m3, a 400,000-fold span,corresponding to very clean air up to <br /> extremely high particle levels. <br /> In addition to the auto-ranging real-time concentration readout, the <br /> personalDataRAM offers the user a wide range of information by scrolling its two- <br /> line LCD screen,such as run start time and date, time averaged concentration, <br /> elapsed run time,maximum and STEL values with times of occurrence,etc. <br /> Operating parameters selected and diagnostic information displays are also <br /> available.Furthermore,the personaIDataRAM features complete,large capacity <br /> internal data logging capabilities with retrieval through an externally connected <br /> computer. The stored information (up to 13,000 data points) includes average <br /> concentration values,maximum and STEL values with time information as well as <br /> tag numbers. <br /> Selectable alarm levels with built-in audible signal and switched output,a RS-232 <br /> communications port,and a programmable analog concentration output(voltage <br /> and current)are all part of this versatile instrument. <br /> A custom software package is provided with the personalDataRAM to program <br /> operating/logging parameters (e.g.logging period,alarm level,concentration <br /> display averaging time,etc.) as well as to download stored or real-time data to a PC <br /> or laptop for tabular and/or graphic presentation. If required,the data can also be <br /> imported to standard spreadsheet packages (e.g. Microsoft Exce1TM,Lotus 1-2-3TM, <br /> etc.). <br /> 2 <br />
