This addendum <br /> addresses the changes in scope of work suggested in PHS/EHD correspondence dated March 12, <br /> 1998. <br /> The revised scope of work will include advancing two off-site soil borings to approximately 30 <br /> feet below ground surface (bgs) or until at least two consecutive soil samples that do not appear <br /> to be impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons are collected. The two off-site borings will be <br /> advanced in an attempt to delineate the horizontal extent of impacted soil to the northeast of the <br /> former underground storage tanks (USTs). In addition to the off-site soil borings, one on-site soil <br /> boring will be advanced to approximately 60 feet bgs in an attempt to delineate the vertical extent— , <br /> of impacted soil. The proposed boring locations are shown on Figure 2. oaAls <br /> 0 <br /> No air sparge or vapor extraction wells will be installed during this phase of the site investigation. �n0 <br /> Once the vertical and horizontal extent of impacted soil and groundwater has been defined, ATC <br /> will evaluate whether the air sparge and vapor extraction wells are necessary. <br /> ATC has completed two soil boring permit applications for the advancement of the on-site soil <br /> boring and the off-site soil borings. The permit applications and associated fees (checks no.-138— <br /> and-1-5 t-) are attached to this workplan addendum. # I(o 4 <br /> All work described in this workplan will be performed under the direct supervision of a California <br /> Registered Civil Engineer.
