INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr James Langston of Langston's Market, Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc
' (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 15615 South Th Street,Lathrop,
California The scope of work included the performance of a quarterly ground water monitoring
event, submission of monitoring and analytical data to the State Water Resources Control Board's
' GeoTracker information management system, and preparation of this report The location of the site
and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, soil borings, and monitoring well
' locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Details of previous investigations are summarized in
Appendix A
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
' On 07 November 2005, a quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed at the site Field
work was conducted in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) guidelines for
• investigating underground storage tank (UST) sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells,
respectively
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
A Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in monitoring wells
MW-1 through MW-8 relative to the tops of the well casings (well heads) The ground water
elevations and gradient were determined from this data (Table 1)
After recording water level measurements, a two-stage submersible pump was used to evacuate
(purge) well MW-2 and dedicated, disposable plastic bailers were used to purge wells MW-1 and
IMW-3 through MW-8 of standing water Approximately 5 5 to 15 gallons of water were removed
from wells MW-2 through MW-8 Monitonng well MW-1 was purged dry after approximately
6 gallons of water had been evacuated Ground water temperature, pH, and conductivity were
measured for stabilization at regular intervals during the purge process using an Oakton water
analyzer Field data sheets are included in Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in properly
labeled, Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums pending proper disposal
22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Following purging, the depth to ground water was re-measured in each well to ensure that a
Advanced GeoEnvironmentel,Inc
1
