INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr James Langston,Advanced GeoEnviromnental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Additional Site Assessment Report for the former Langston's Market property located at 15615 <br /> South 7`b Street, Lathrop, California (site) The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1, a site <br /> plan is shown in Figure 2 <br /> The scope of work included the advancement of four soil probe borings to assess the lateral and <br /> vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and ground water This report is prepared in <br /> accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> Background information and details of previous investigation at the site are included in the report <br /> titled Intertm Secondary Source Removal and Monitoring Well Replacement, dated 05 October 1995 <br /> and several Quarterly Reports, prepared by WHF, Inc <br /> Analytical data from previous investigations and quarterly monitoring indicate that the magnitude <br /> of ground water contamination across the site has diminished from previous sampling events <br /> Additional investigation was required by the PHS-EHD to assess the contamination in soil and <br /> ground water at the site PHS-EHD approved the AGE Additional Site Assessment Work Plan dated <br /> 06 April 1999, by letter dated 08 April 1999, to complete the delineation of hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> soil and ground water <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Tasks and procedures for this investigation were completed by AGE personnel,or under the direction <br /> of AGE personnel, and were conducted under the supervision of a California Registered Geologist <br /> in accordance with the Additional Site Assessment Work Plan dated 06 April 1999, prepared by <br /> AGE, as approved by the PHS-EHD <br /> 3 1 SOIL PROBE BORING ADVANCEMENT <br /> On 16 April 1999, AGE advanced four soil probe borings at the site to investigate the petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water Samples were collected at five-foot intervals in each <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
