INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr James Langston of Langston's Market, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br />' (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 15615 South 7`h Street,Lathrop, <br /> Califomia (site) The scope of work included the destruction and re-installation ground water <br />' monitoring well MW-8, quarterly ground water monitoring, and preparation of this report The <br /> location of the site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures and monitoring well <br /> locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 Details of previous investigations are summarized <br /> in Appendix A <br /> I2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 04 May 2004, ground water monitoring well MW-8 was destroyed and a soil bonng advanced <br /> for re-installation of monitoring well MW-8 Procedures are outlined in the AGE-prepared <br /> Monitoring Well Abandonment and Re-Installation WorkPlan,dated 22 April 2004 The destruction <br /> and re-installation of monitoring well MW-8 was performed at the request of the City of Lathrop <br /> • Public Works Department(CLPWD),by letter dated 08 April 2004,to relocate well MW-8 because <br /> a portion of a city skate park will be constructed at that location <br /> A quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed at the site on 21 May 2004 Field work <br /> was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) guidelines for <br /> investigating underground storage tank (UST) sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells, <br /> respectively <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL DESTRUCTION <br /> On 04 May 2004,ground water monitoring well MW-8 was destroyed utilizing a truck-mounted drill <br /> rig equipped with 8 25-inch hollow-stem augers The well construction materials were drilled from <br /> surface grade to total depth (approximately 30 feet below surface grade [bsg]) The boring was <br /> backfilled to surface grade using Type 1/11 portland neat cement and not more than 6 gallons of water <br /> per 94-pound bag of cement Auger returns generated by drilling were containerized in properly <br /> labeled, Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums and stored on-site <br /> 2 2 MONITORING WELL RE-INSTALLATION <br /> • Ground water monitoring well MW-8 was re-installed on 04 May 2004 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Enc <br />
