INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr James Langston of Langston's Market, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
(AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 15615 South 7th Street,Lathrop,
California The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this
' report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on Figure I
Structures and monitoring well locations on the site are Illustrated on Figure 2 Background
Information and details of previous investigation at the site are summarized in Appendix A
2.0. PROCEDURES
rOn 17 December 2003, a quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed at the site Field
work was performed in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board-Central
I Valley Region (RWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)
guidelines for investigating underground storage tank (UST) sites and sampling ground water
monitoring wells, respectively
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND PURGING
IA Sohnst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in eight ground water
monitoring wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient
were determined from this data(Table 1)
I After recording water level measurements, a disposable bailer or a Waterra inertial pump was used
to purge each monitoring well of standing water(Appendix B) Approximately 5 to 20 gallons were
removed from the remaining wells Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured
at regular intervals during the purge process using an Oakton water analyzer Monitoring well MW-1
was purged dry prior to evacuating 3 casing-water volumes Field data sheets are included in
Appendix B Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums
IFollowing purging, the depth to ground water was measured to ensure that a minimum of 80%well-
volume recharge had been achieved prior to sampling
I
•
IAdvanced GeoEsmronmental,Inc
I
