. Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2003 <br />' LANGSTON'S MARKET <br /> 15615 South 7' Street, Lathrop, California <br /> I10. INTRODUCTION <br /> I At the request of Mr James Langston of Langston's Market, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 15615 South 7`h Street,Lathrop, <br /> California The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this <br /> report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 <br /> Structures and monitoring well locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> Background information and details of previous investigation at the site were included in the report <br /> titledlnterim Secondary Source Removal and Monitoring Well Replacement,dated 05 October 1995 <br /> and several quarterly reports, prepared by WHF, Inc and the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report - <br /> Fourth Quarter 2002, dated 22 April 2002 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 26 March 2003,a quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed at the site Field work <br /> was performed in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley <br /> Region (RWQCB) and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) guidelines <br />' for investigating underground storage tank(UST)sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells, <br /> respectively <br /> I2 1 WELL MONITORING AND PURGING <br /> A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in eight ground water <br /> monitoring wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient <br /> were determined from this data(Table 1) <br /> After recording water level measurements, a disposable bailer or a two-stage pump was used to <br /> purge each monitoring well of standing water(Appendix A) Monitoring well MW-1 was pumped <br /> dry after removing approximately 18 gallons of water Approximately 22 gallons from.well MW-2 <br /> and approximately 6 3 to 8 0 gallons were removed from the remaining wells Ground water <br /> temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during the purge process using <br /> an Oakton water analyzer Field data sheets are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored <br /> on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> Following purging,the depth to ground water was measured to ensure that a mirumum of 80%well- <br /> volume recharge had been achieved prior to sampling <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmcntal,Inc <br /> I <br />
