Section 2 GK 2012
-rv'.n.rn.w
Section 1 - Background Information
Introduction
The City of Riverbank's (The City's) Waste Water Treatment and Disposal Facility (WWTF) is
located in San Joaquin County, bordering the north of Stanislaus County, and adjacent to the
Stanislaus River. The City's WWTF is currently regulated by the Central Valley California
Regional Water Quality Control Board's Waste Discharge Requirements and the Revised
Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 94-100, issued on July 10, 2000. To comply with the
regulation,The City has installed eleven monitoring wells along the boundary of the WWTF and
its interior. The City now plans to expand the ground water monitoring program to include two
additional off site monitoring wells. These off site wells will be used for background
groundwater quality testing of potential off site impacts related to the quality standards of the
treated WWTF effluent discharge. The two new background wells will be installed northeast
(MW-12) and east(MW-13) of the WWTF, see Figure 1-1 and Attachment A.
Figure 1-1: Site Map and Monitoring Well Locations.
L
F.
l'
,'` 4,, • y.a,r'1' a.
4
r;
3 City of Riverbank Waste Water Treatment Facility Background Water Quality Monitoring Well Work Plan
