1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Compass Group USA, Inc has retained AES-Regulatory Services, Inc (AES-RS) to perform environmental services <br /> at the Former Canteen facility located at 1500 Shaw Road, Stockton, California The scope of the work includes soil <br /> borings, well installation, development and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells, remediation system <br /> installation, and remediation system O&M <br /> This Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) is written to ensure the well being of all field personnel and the <br /> community surrounding the site Accordingly, AES-RS project staff must follow the policies and procedures <br /> established in the HASP All personnel assigned to this project must sign the Agreement and Acknowledgement Sheet <br /> (Appendix A-2) to confirm that they understand and agree to abide by the provisions of the HASP <br /> All work will comply with the OSHA Standard, "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response," (29 CER <br /> 1910 120) and other federal, state and local procedures that require the development and implementation of a HASP, <br /> as well as the AES-RS Health and Safety Program A copy of this program may be obtained from the AES-RS <br /> Corporate Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) <br /> This plan addresses the safety issues associated with focused site investigation/remediation operations typically <br /> involving the following tasks <br /> • Drilling/Boring Soil Sampling <br /> + Well Installation/Development <br /> • Groundwater Sampling <br /> + Remediation System Installation <br /> • Remediation System O&M <br /> All activities of this project will be carried out no less than Level D (or Modified Level D) Personal Protective <br /> Equipment(PPE) This Site Safety Plan must be modified or amended when circumstances or conditions develop that <br /> are beyond the scope of routine site investigation or ground water monitoring operations Some conditions beyond <br /> the scope of this Site Safety and Health Plan may include <br /> + Confined Space Entry <br /> • Presence of Pesticides <br /> • Troubleshooting Energized Equipment <br /> iLevel B Work <br /> Presence of Non-Hydrocarbon Materials <br /> 6 <br />
