SAN ,dDAQ U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> C01-1 N T <br /> Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> J M EQUIPMENT COMPANY INC 321 SPRECKELS AVE, MANTECA January 22, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> in the main shop: <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with waste antifreeze observed with no cap for bunghole. <br /> The following were observed in the outdoor hazardous waste storage area near forklift washing machine: <br /> -Five 55 gallon drums with waste solids(oily sludge)observed with non-secure lids on the drums. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 501 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. <br /> OBSERVATION: The hazardous waste tank storing used oil does not have complete labeling. <br /> -One 500 gallon used oil tank observed with no accumulation start date. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the <br /> accumulation start date. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Label the hazardous waste tanks with the words"Hazardous Waste"and the accumulation <br /> start date.
