The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for J M EQUIPMENT COMPANY INC as of March 19, 2020. Open violations from January 22, 2020 inspection (f)Ancillary equipment shall be provided with full secondary containment(e.g., trench,jacketing, double-walled piping)that meets the requirements of subsections(b)and (c)of this section except for: (1)aboveground piping (exclusive of flanges,joints, valves, and connections)that are visually inspected for leaks on a daily basis; (2)welded flanges,welded joints, and welded connections that are visually inspected for leaks on a daily basis; (3)sealless or magnetic coupling pumps and sealless valves,that are visually inspected for leaks on a daily basis; and (4)pressurized aboveground piping systems with automatic shut-off devices(e.g., excess flow check valves,flow metering shutdown devices, loss of pressure actuated shut-off devices)that are visually inspected for leaks on a daily basis. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Violation#605-Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers were observed in the hazardous waste storage area in the main shop: -One 55 gallon drum with waste antifreeze observed with no accumulation start date. Operator provided manifest that last pick up of date for waste antifreeze was on 11-20-2019. -One 55 gallon drum with waste solids observed with no accumulation start date. The following were observed outdoors adjacent to forklift cleaning area: -Four 55 gallon drums with waste solids(oily sludge)observed with no accumulation start date. Operator provided manifest that last pick up date was on 10-31-2019. -One 55 gallon drum with waste solids(oily sludge)observed with used drain oil filters label. Operator states that american valley waste oil provided drum in that manner, he states used metal oil filters were never placed in that drum. REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the words"Hazardous Waste",name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition (contents), accumulation start date CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
