TABLE 1
RELATIVE GROUNDWATER ELEVATIONS "
Genova Bakery
749 North Sierra Nevada Street, Stockton, California
Relative Depth to Groundwater Relative Groundwater
Well Casing EIevation
No Elevation 6-16-94 9-16-94 10-19-94 6-16-94 9-16-94 10-19-94
MW-8 9732 6250 6464 6434 3482 3268 3298
MW-9 9686 6200 6414 6386 3486 3272 33.00
EW-1 9692 6227 6421 6403 3465 3271 3289
E !►fleas .encs in feet
3.2 Groundwater Sample Collection
Water samples were collected from MW-8, MW-9 and EW-1 using new disposable plastic
bailers Each water sample was collected in three 40 ml VOA vials and transported in a
chilled container to Alpha Analytical Laboratories in Ukiah Each sample was analyzed for
TPH as gasoline and BTE&X in accordance with EPA methods 5030 and 602, respectively
3.3 Monthly Groundwater Depth Monitoring
In a letter dated October S 1994 the PHS/EHD recommended "monthly measurements of
the depth to groundwater be taken and groundwater flow determined in order to confirm
the groundwater gradient "
A monthly monitoring program, to determine groundwater flow direction, was initiated in
October 1994. Groundwater depths were measured on October 19, 1994 The relative
piezometnc level in each well and hydraulic gradient were determined from these data
(Table 1) No samples were collected during the October 1994 monthly monitoring
4.0 FINDINGS
4.2 Relative Groundwater Elevation and Gradient
The relative elevation of the groundwater in each well was calculated by subtracting the
water depth from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 1) Comparison of the measurements
indicate that groundwater at the site dropped an average of 2 07 feet between the June and
September 1994 monitorings Groundwater then rose an average of 0 25 feet between
A.,W S.—.w. 6
ik-B.Ir7 QRA 9N 1
