Linne Rd, Tracy
APN 253-210-30, SR0082030
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated April 29, 2020 for the above noted location and has the following comments for
your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrates to groundwater for the proposed project
development. The nitrate loading study was prepared to determine the long-term nitrate loading impact from
the proposed OWTS. The proposed development project includes:
1. A future six-bedroom home dwelling and an existing winery with a total wastewater of 386.8 gallons
per day from the following usage. The wastewater of 368.8 gallons per day volume is not to be used
for septic design or size calculation.
Wastewater of 350 gallons per day from the proposed six-bedroom residence.
Wastewater of 17.1 gallons per day from 20 winery customers (Saturday to Sunday).
Wastewater of 19.7 gallons per day from 24 winery events with 100 guests.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
The SSNL Study supports the suitability for standard OWTS usage for the proposed development project on
the above mentioned parcel, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d),
provided proposed OWTS and 100% replacement area can meet all required minimum setbacks from any
water wells.
The existing OWTS may be undersized for the proposed project development. The existing OWTS shall be
evaluated for size prior to issuance of building permit.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Registered Environmental Health Specialist,
REHS, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3436.
MichaI Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
C: Violante Property
1868 E.
