If you or your business generates more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous <br /> waste and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous waste, then you need to obtain an EPA ID number. All others <br /> must obtain a State ID number. Go to the DTSC web site <br /> https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/for the form to apply for an ID number. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately obtain an ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: According to Arturo Cuevas, owner, sanding dust is thrown away into trash.Also, no hazardous <br /> waste determination has been made for paint contaminated rags and paint waste. <br /> REGULATION: Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately stop disposing sanding dust as trash, make a hazardous waste determination <br /> for the paint contaminated paper towels, sanding dust, old paint waste, or dispose of as Hazardous Waste and keep <br /> receipt and manage according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste including acetone waste for July <br /> 19,2016 to July 19,2019 were not found on site. <br /> REGULATION: Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and <br /> all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for <br /> review. <br /> CORRECTION ACTION: Immediately locate a copy of all hazardous waste manifests and receipts for the last three <br /> years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> FA0015665 PRO523197 SCO01 07/19/2019 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.09/27/2018 Page 4 of 6 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
