The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for JG ' S AUTOMOTIVE as of Apri130 , 2020 . <br /> Open violations from July 19, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation #102 - Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste . <br /> OBSERVATIONS According to John Gutierrez , Owner, waste absorbent is thrown away into the trash . <br /> REGULATION : Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste . Immediately <br /> make a hazardous waste determination for the waste absorbent , and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous <br /> waste regulations . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste will be <br /> managed . Provide hazardous waste determination information if the waste absorbent is deemed non -hazardous . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date ) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #119 - Failed to report program data in the California Environmental Reporting System ( CERS ) . <br /> OBSERVATIONS A submission to the California Electronic Reporting System ( CERS ) for the hazardous waste <br /> program has not been made . <br /> REGULATION : Beginning January 1 , 2013 , all businesses are required to submit all new (or any changes to <br /> existing ) hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http : //cers . calepa . ca . gov . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately create a CERS account and make the required submittals . Be sure to include <br /> your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities <br /> and required fields . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #403 - Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous waste . <br /> OBSERVATIONS One white 55 gallon poly drum containing approximately 35 gallons of used oil did not have a top <br /> that closed the container securely. <br /> REGULATION : All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately close these container and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste . <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
