` SUMMARY
Group A Organics
Relatively insignificant changes in groundwater concentrations of Group
A organics have been noted to date, supporting the previous hydro-
geologic estimates of slow hydraulic movement in the aquifer system
surrounding Occidental Chemical 's Lathrop plant site. DBCP continues
to be found in a significant number of permanent monitoring wells in
the study area, often exhibiting random transitory variations uncharac-
teristic of a centralized radially decreasing plume. DBCP and Sulfolane
are the only organics found in any domestic well to date, with DBCP
concentrations above the State action level of 1 .0 ppb recorded in one
of the 29 wells monitored.
Group A Inorganics
Group A inorganic measurements have been relatively static to date,
again indicative of the slow hydraulic movement in the aquifer system
surrounding Occidental 's Lathrop plant site.
Group B Organics
Group B organic compounds found during the October-November, 1981 sam-
pling period also correspond closely to the measurements of a year
earlier. The majority of these constituents were not found in any
permanent well monitoring location (i .e. Aldrin, Chlordane, DDD, DDT,
DEF, Dieldrin, Heptachlor, Methyl Parathion, Sevin, Toxaphene) and no
Group B organics were found in any domestic wells monitored.
Group B Inorganics
Radium 22 Gross Alpha and Beta October-November, 1981 98 measurements
were basically consistent with measurements of a year earlier, with no
time-related or spatial trends observed.
