Substantial or
potentially substantial
adverse change
Yes Maybe No
d. The destruction, covering or
modification of any unique
geologic or physical features? X
e. Any increase in wind or water
erosion of soils, either on or
off the site? X
f. Changes in deposition or erosion
of beach sands, or changes in
siltation, deposition or erosion
which may modify the channel
of a river or stream or the bed
of the ocean or any bay, inlet
or lake? X
g. Exposure of people or property
to geologic hazards such as
earthquakes, landslides,
mudslides, ground failure, or
similar hazards? X
Explanation: There will be minor soil disruption from soil
sampling, during removal of the underground tank, and
possible excavation of contaminated material. Samples
will be collected with a hand auger drilled to a depth
of 3 feet to the concrete and soil interface. Holes
will be backfilled with native soil. These soils
would be containerized and sampled for future disposal
purposes. If initial soil sampling indicates any soil
contamination, the Plan allows removal and disposal of
up to to 50 cubic yards of soil, asphalt, and
concrete. If the results indicate more than 50
yards, then the Plan identifies steps that the
facility must take to notify DTSC, prepare a workplan
to investigate and submit the workplan and schedule.
Future actions will require CEQA analysis of the
environmental impact of these propsed actions.
2
