Work Plan to Delineate Soil <br /> Contamination in the Ag Chem Area <br /> ARCADIS Former Occidental Chemical Corporation <br /> Lathrop, California <br /> at the water table zone(approximately 15 ft bgs) in the vicinity of the <br /> original sample. Proposed sample locations are illustrated in Figures 4 <br /> through 6. <br /> 3.2.3 Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) <br /> QA/QC procedures will be employed in both the field and the laboratory. Field <br /> duplicates will be collected at a rate of 1 per 10 field samples of similar matrix. The <br /> locations and depths of the QA/QC samples will be determined in the field. One <br /> equipment rinsate blank will be collected each day that field samples are collected <br /> using non-disposable(reusable)sampling equipment. Matrix spike/matrix spike <br /> duplicate analyses will be completed by APPL using primary samples collected in the <br /> field. Analytical data will be validated by Conestoga Rovers&Associates(CRA)prior to <br /> review by ARCADIS.All field procedures will be documented in accordance with the <br /> ARCADIS SOPS provided in Appendix B. <br /> 3.2.4 Boring Completion <br /> Following completion of the drilling activities, boreholes will be abandoned by grouting <br /> the hole from the bottom up. Boring completion procedures will be completed in <br /> accordance with Section 4.7 of the SJCEHD well standards, included in Appendix C. <br /> 3.3 Investigation-Derived Waste Management <br /> Waste materials generated from the installation of borings will be placed in Department <br /> of Transportation (DOT)-approved containers suitable for subsequent transportation for <br /> off-site disposal at a permitted waste management facility.Waste profiles for any waste <br /> stream will be prepared, as required by the waste disposition facilities. <br /> 3.4 Health and Safety <br /> The general health and safety procedures to be followed at the Site are outlined in the <br /> Site Specific Health & Safety Plan, Former Occidental Chemical Corporation Facility <br /> (ARCADIS, 2011 b). Potential health and safety concerns specific to the proposed <br /> investigation activities are addressed in the SOPs provided in the Site Health and <br /> Safety Plan,Appendix D. <br /> 3.5 Field Work Schedule <br /> Upon receiving approval from DTSC for this Work Plan, ARCADIS will initiate proposed <br /> pre-field and field activities. Following the completion of the proposed soil investigation, <br /> ARCADIS will prepare a summary report of the results. The report will summarize site <br /> background,field procedures,field observations, and analytical results including <br /> lathropwom,plan supplemental invest ag chem 05012012 Eocx 7 <br />
