The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for PROFESSIONAL AUTO REPAIR as of June 08, 2020. <br /> Open violations from February 07, 2020 inspection <br /> Violation#303-Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems,spill control,or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: The secondary containment, used to hold two 55-gallon drums of used oil and located on the <br /> west side of the facility,was observed containing standing oil and oily shop towels (see photos 0706, 0711). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to <br /> assure its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the secondary containment into proper working order by removing and managing <br /> the standing oil and oily shop towels per Title 22 California Code of Regulations(CCR). Provide a corrective action <br /> statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#403-Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on the west side of the <br /> facility: <br /> 1.A 55-gallon white poly drum of used antifreeze missing its lid cap(see photos IMG 0693-5). <br /> 2.A 55-gallon blue steel drum of used plastic and metal transmission filters missing its lid ring (IMG 0697-8). <br /> 3.A 55-gallon black steel drum of used paper oil filters and drained metal oil filters missing its lid ring (IMG <br /> 0699-700). <br /> 4.A 55-gallon black and red steel drum of used oil missing its lid cap(IMG 0704-5). <br /> 5.A 55-gallon blue steel drum of used oil, located inside a secondary containment(IMG 0706-7). <br /> 6.A 55-gallon red steel drum of used oil missing its lid cap, located inside a secondary containment(IMG 0706, <br /> 0708). <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br /> closed when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation <br /> to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> Page 6 of 10 <br />
