Describe the access route to the operation site <br /> The property is most easily reached by traveling south from the Hwy 120 <br /> bypass on Airport Road, then west on Kasson road 1.7 miles, then right on <br /> a private gravel road across the front 280 acres to the back 40 acres where <br /> the proposed project is located. <br /> DESCRIPTION <br /> 10. Mineral commodity to be mined : River Sand <br /> 11. Geologic Description - Briefly describe general geologic setting, with more <br /> detailed geologic description of mineral deposit to be mined, and principal <br /> soil or rock types present. <br /> The deposit is a recent sedimentary deposit of typical central valley river <br /> sands that have accumulated on the inside corner of a river bend. The sand <br /> has produced a large alluvial bar that is typically flooded during periods <br /> of high river water thus partially replenishing the sand deposit. The <br /> sands tend to be well sorted and rounded. The sands have been found to <br /> have characteristics desirable for construction use. <br />
