Item No.
PC : 10-8-87
SA-88-7
Page 1
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Planning Commission:
1 . Approve the Negative Declaration and instruct the Clerk to
file a Notice of Determination.
2 . Approve Site Approval Application No . SA-88-7 based on the
Findings in the staff report and subject to the Conditions of
Approval listed in the staff report .
3 . "The establishment , maintenance , and operation of the use
does not conflict with the General Plan. "
° This finding can be made because a custom slaughterhouse is
considered to be a livestock service which is consistent
with the General Plan designation of Agriculture and is
permitted in the GA-40 zone.
2 . "The property involved is of adequate size and shape to
accommodate the proposed use and all yards, building
coverage, setbacks, parking areas, and other requirements of
this Title. "
° This finding can be made because the parcel is 117 . 6 acres,
with the project encompassing approximately 4 . 3 acres of
the total . Therefore, all provisions of the Planning Code
can be met .
4 . "Issuance of the permit will not be significantly detrimental
to the public health, safety, or welfare or be injurious to
the property or improvements of adjacent properties. "
° Staff can make this finding because there are local and
State regulations governing the proposed use . In addition,
