SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> 1810 E.HAZELTON AVE.,STOCKTON,CA 95205-6232 <br /> PHONE:209/4683120 Fax:2091468-3163 <br /> May 21, 1993 7 MAY 241993 <br /> EN PERMIT 1 SERVICESNTAL L7H <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Development,�Committee <br /> s <br /> FROM: Lorre Isla � 1enior Planner <br /> SUBJECT: Applications GP-92-13 and ZR-92-16 of Louise Karle, c/o <br /> Don Moyer <br /> This project is a General Plan Map Amendment to change the General <br /> Plan designation of four parcels containing a total of 35 acres <br /> from A/G (General Agriculture) to I/G (General Industrial) and to <br /> rezone the properties from AG-40 (General Agriculture) to I-G <br /> (General Industrial) . <br /> The project is located on the west and east sides of Hansen Road, <br /> approximately 3 , 950 feet south of Schulte Road, west of Tracy. <br /> The requested General Plan Amendment is an expansion of the <br /> Patterson Pass Industrial Area located between Schulte Road and the <br /> Southern Pacific Railroad tracks. This northern industrial area, <br /> which is designated as Limited Industrial on the General Plan, <br /> includes the Safeway Distribution Center and the Patterson Pass <br /> Business Park. <br /> GP-92-13 and ZR-92-16 have been scheduled for public hearing before <br /> the Planning Commission on June 17 , 1993 at which time staff will <br /> be recommending that these applications be denied. This <br /> recommendation is based on the inability to make the findings <br /> necessary for approving a General Plan Amendment and <br /> Reclassification. <br /> The Development Committee meeting is intended to provide the <br /> applicant with the preliminary findings of the review of their <br /> application. This memorandum is not intended to be a complete <br /> analysis of the project, but is intended to inform the applicant of <br /> the major policy considerations and environmental issues. Further <br /> policy analysis may be included in the complete staff report which <br /> will be prepared for the Planning Commission public hearing. <br />
