PC: 3-17-88 <br /> GP-88-23/ZR-88-22 <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> The Planning Division recommends that the Planning Commission <br /> recommend that the Board of Supervisors : <br /> 1 . Approve the Negative Declaration; and <br /> 2 . Approve GP-88-23 and ZR-88-22 , based upon the Bases for <br /> Action contained in the staff report . <br /> BASIS FOR ACTION ON GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br /> "The internal consistency of the General Plan is maintained in <br /> the adoption of the map amendment from Agriculture to Limited <br /> Industrial . " <br /> Staff was able to make an affirmative determination for this <br /> basis . The project is consistent with industrial policies of <br /> the General Plan. <br /> i <br /> BASES FOR ACTION ON ZONE RECLASSIFICATION <br /> 1 . "The proposed M-1 zone is consistent with the General Plan. " <br /> Staff was able to make an affirmative determination for <br /> this basis because the M-1 zone is an adopted implemen- <br /> tation zone for Limited Industrial . <br /> 2 . "The site of the proposed M-1 zone is suitable for any of the <br /> land uses permitted in the M-1 zone . " <br /> Staff was able to make an affirmative determination for <br /> this basis. The vicinity contains industrial uses east and <br /> south of the site . <br /> 3 . "The proposed M-1 zone is reasonable and beneficial at this <br /> time . " <br /> ° Staff was able to make an affirmative determination for <br /> this basis . The site is located next to industrially <br /> developed property. <br /> 4 . "The proposed M-1 zone will not have a substantial , adverse <br /> effect on surrounding properties . " <br /> ° Staff was able to make an affirmative determination for <br /> this basis . The Initial Study concludes that the Zone <br /> Reclassification alone would not have such an effect . <br /> -2- <br />
