ONSITE CONTROL <br /> Faith Morris-Daverin has been designated to coordinate access control and security onsite. <br /> A safe perimeter has been established at 20 feet around boring in progress. No unauthorized <br /> person should be within this exclusion area. <br /> D. HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site. <br /> Substances Involved: Concentrations: <br /> Gasoline unknown <br /> Diesel unknown <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br /> 1. Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in <br /> water. Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can <br /> cause mild eye, nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the <br /> central nervous system. Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include <br /> headache, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, and loss of coordination. Certain <br /> components of gasoline (BTE&X etc.) are known or suspected carcinogens. <br /> The following additional hazards are expected on site: typical work related to facility. Noise, <br /> excavator and loader, traffic near facility and on surrounding streets. <br /> E.
