City of Stockton sites Page 2 ✓1740 Houston At the meeting in March 2000, it was agreed that additional monitoring wells should be installed between S135 and MW4 and downgradient of MW4 to evaluate the extent of the MTBE contaminant plume. By the July 2000 meeting a work pian for this work had not been submitted to PHS/EHD. At the July 2000 meeting it was agreed that a deeper screened monitoring well should be installed in the vicinity of MW-4 to evaluate the vertical extent of the MTBE plume, and two additional shallow screened monitoring wells should be installed approximately 40 feet downgradient of MW-4 to evaluate the lateral extent of the shallow contaminant plume. This work plan should be submitted to PHS/EHD no later than July 31, 2000. 1465 Lincoln PHS/EHD will submit a request to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board for concurrence on a "no further action required" determination for the 12,000 gallon UST removed from this site. After discussion with PHS/EHD staff reviewing the closure plan for the 10,000 gallon UST piping, further information is required prior to approval of the closure plan. Enclosed is a letter from the City of Stockton stating that there was 100 feet of drain line (pipe) under the Garage floor and closure plans from CRA and AGE stating there was 40 feet of piping with drawings indicating an angle (joint) in the piping. The length of piping and any joints must be confirmed and then the number of soil samples and sampling points required can be determined. In the July 2000 meeting it was stated that sampling beneath one end of the piping had been performed previously. Review of PHS/EHD records indicates the only samples collected previously were directly beneath the UST. A meeting with the City of Stockton to discuss the status of their sites at that time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on December 4, 2000, at the offices of PHS/EHD.
