Install a monitoring well with well screen from 65 feet to 70 feet bsg in the
former underground storage tank area to evaluate the vertical extent of the
groundwater plume.
2. Install a one-half pound oxygen/ozone generator to the existing air sparging
system.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Submit an addendum to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy of injecting
ozone into the existing air sparging system without the benefit of using diffusers
for the delivering-the ozone by microsparging. The system should be evaluated
in six months after the start up of ozone injection. The work plan addendum
should include a contingency plan to install a diffuser system for ozone injection
as recommended by manufacturers if the proposed ozone injection strategy is
deemed inadequate.
2. Install the proposed deep screened monitoring well by February 19, 2003. The
proposed completion depths should be regarded as.tentative, actual depths
should be determined by collecting continuous cores in the general target zone
to ensure placing the screen in highly permeable strata. This portion of the work
plan does not have to wait for the submission of the work plan addendum.
t
;4i rr
