Problem Assessment Report November 20, 1990
Fire Engine Company No. 2, Stockton, California AGS 38009-2
RECOMMENDATIONS
® Based on the results of field and laboratory data obtained during
this investigation, Applied GeoSystems recommends the following:
o Purge and sample the existing groundwater monitoring wells, and analyze the
samples for TPHg and BTEX. If the BTEX concentrations remain above the
respective MCL and action levels,we recommend that the wells be monitored
on a quarterly basis.
o Evaluate remediation options for soil and ground water containing gasoline
hydrocarbons. A preliminary summary of available remediation options is
presented in Appendix E to this report.
LIMITATIONS
This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted standards of environmental
geological practice in California at the time this investigation was performed. This
investigation was conducted solely for the purpose of evaluating environmental conditions
of the soil and ground water with respect to hydrocarbons near the underground storage
tanks. No soil engineering or geot, chnical references are implied or should be inferred.
Evaluation of the geologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation is made
from a limited number of observation points, Subsurface conditions may vary away from
the data points available. Additional work, including further subsurface investigation, can
reduce the inherent uncertainties associated with this type of investigation.
y
18
Applied GeoSystens
MW vim HE Iii.
