Leland Hall , Director <br /> Environmental Health Division C' <br /> FROM: Laurie Cotulla, Registered Sanitarian <br /> DATE: May 28, 1986 <br /> RE: Suspected Unauthorized Release 9110 Thornton Rd., Stockton <br /> On 4-14-86 the Southland Corporation reported a suspected unauthorized release at <br /> their 7-11 Store located at 4110 Thornton Rd., in Stockton detected by precision <br /> testing required by the underground storage tans: regulations. Groundwater <br /> Technology, a geotechnical firm, was hired to perform a site assessment and <br /> verify whether a leak had actually occurred. On 5-6-86' four groundwater monitoring <br /> wells were installed at the facility and free product was detected on the ground- <br /> water at approximately 30 feet below the surface. <br /> In conjunction with remedial actions to remove the contamination and limit its <br /> migration by installation of a recovery system, Southland Corporation, with the <br /> concurrence of the San Joaquin Local Health District staff, will sample several <br /> adjacent domestic wells on Thursday, May 29, 1986, to make sure that no domestic <br /> water supplies have been affected. <br /> This information will update the s:taation with Southland Corporation on Thornton <br /> Road.
