Froblem Assessment Report November 20, 1990
Fire Engine Company No. 2, Stockton, California AGS 38009-2
may be degraded gasoline. Toluene was detected at 1.1 ppb,and total xylene isomers were
detected at 1.5 ppb. These concentrations in water samples collected from wells MW-2,
MW-3 and MW-4 are below the MCL recommended for drinking water by the California
Department of Health Services.
Maps depicting the total petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations and benzene concentrations
in ground water are presented in Plates P-26 and P-27, respectively. The concentrations of
TPHg were below detection limits in wells MW-2 and MW-3 indicating ground water with
detectable levels of TPHg does not extend to wells MW-2, MW-3 (Plate P-26). The data
indicate that ground water with detectable concentrations of TPHg extends north to well
MW-4. Therefore, the data indicate that the dissolved gasoline hydrocarbon plume extends
to the northwest corner of the property and possibly under Madison Street at a
concentration of approximately 100 ppb.
The concentrations of benzene were below detection limits in wells NTW-2 through MW-4
(Plate P-27). The data indicate that ground water with detectable levels of benzene does
not extend to wells MW-2. MW-3 and MW-4.
a
40
LJ 25
e,r
AVPllOIY 0,00SYste97s
