The plan was out of date <br /> and had the incorrect emergency coordinator information. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br /> areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br /> telephone number of the emergency coordinator,the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and the <br /> telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Bryan Conley, Harbor Master, <br /> correcting the plan. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 1n6 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. Bryan Conley, Harbor Master, said that the <br /> employees had initial training when they started the job but had not had any training since. Facility had employees <br /> that had been working there over a year. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees.
