(WKA)has prepared this workplan for subsurface soil <br /> sampling and analysis at the above property located at 2216 Stewart Street in Stockton, <br /> California(Figure 1). The purpose of our work will be to obtain soil samples beneath the former <br /> 5,000-gallon underground storage tank(UST) and former associated fuel dispenser(Figure 2) for <br /> analysis of methyl tert butyl ether(MtBE) as required by San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (SJCEHD). <br /> Proposed Scope of Work <br /> Our proposed scope of work includes the following: <br /> • Obtaining soil boring permits from SJCEHD, <br /> • Outlining the proposed soil boring locations with white paint/flagging and contact <br /> Underground Service Alert a minimum of 48 hours before drilling, <br /> • Advancing one soil boring to a depth of approximately 6 feet below ground <br /> surface (bgs) and two soil borings to depths of approximately 15 feet bgs using a <br /> Geoprobe® drill rig to obtain up to three soil samples for laboratory analysis. The <br /> soil samples will be immediately preserved in a chilled cooler, <br /> • Describing subsurface soil conditions using the Unified Soil Classification System <br /> • Grouting the boring(s)to surface grade using a neat cement slurry, <br />
