STATE OF CALIFORAIA GEORGE DEUKMEJIAN,Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD—
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 ROUTIER ROAD '' q
SACRAMENTO,CA 95827-3098 . a9 4
ENVIROtiiENTAL HEALTH
20 March 1987 FERfAIT/SERVICES
Mr. Ron Valinoti
San Joaquin Local Health District
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
SAMPLE RESULTS FROM SECOND ROUND OF TESTING AT CARDOZA WELL, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Enclosed are the results of the most recent set of samples taken from the
Cardoza ' s domestic well . As you will recall from my 23 January 1987 letter,
samples were split and submitted to two different certified laboratories (Eureka
Labs and California Water Labs). This was done to verify the original findings
of dichloromethane in water samples taken from the well in November 1986.
The results of this most recent round of sampling show nondetectable values of
dichloromethane and all other compounds tested for by EPA Method 601. This
seems to confirm the suspicion that the original detection of dichloromethane
was caused by laboratory contamination and not ground water contamination.
In light of these results no further action will be taken by this office at this
time. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call me at (916)
361-5667.
r \
DAVID L.
