I advise calling ahead of time to
schedule an appointment. As for the waste mentioned I will provide individual responses:
1) Chlorine tablets are hazardous waste, you can take them to Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)facility.
2) The dried paint may still exhibit hazardous characteristics. What type of paint is it? Do you have a safety data
sheet for the paint?A hazardous waste determination needs to be made. HHW will take the dried paint as well.
3) That is correct if the buckets are wiped down then the buckets will not be considered hazardous. The rags can
be taken to HHW,just be sure to keep the rags in a secure container to avoid spilling.
You can transport up to 220 pounds or 27 gallons in one trip. Be sure not to mix the waste and to keep them in separate
containers.
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
Hope this email helps
Have a good day,
JASON GAITAN
EHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
(209)468-9848-Office
(209)468-3433-Fax
1868 E.
