SAN J OAQU I N Environmental Health Department <br /> CC LJ N T Y------- <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> AMERICAN PILEDRIVING EQUIP INC 2985 LOOMIS RD, STOCKTON January 24, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> rO3 <br /> Remarks <br /> CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: <br /> -Oily liquid and rags were observed inside the secondary containment for three 55 gallon drums of used oil. <br /> -Oily pads were observed in the secondary containment tray under the 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure <br /> its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the secondary containment into proper working order by cleaning up the oily spills, <br /> rags and absorbent pads. Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -Three black metal 55 gallon drums were missing the words"Hazardous Waste", generator name&address, <br /> accumulation start date and physical state. The hazardous waste label was on the wall behind the three drums of <br /> used oil. <br /> -One approximately 20 gallon black metal drum of oily solids was observed with a faded, unreadable hazardous <br /> waste label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
